Background
Spending the majority of my career traveling to many places around the world, I have always found it very time consuming and difficult to easily find the current “happening” events and places to go. Too many times, I have found out the next day that I missed a very exciting event that I missed in my researching. I like to have variety, so sometimes I would have to search as many as 30+ websites to piece together a fun day of outings! For example…I could wake up and run a 5K for a local charity, find a nice French restaurant in town for Brunch, take in a baseball game or round of golf in the afternoon, then settle down for a nice romantic dinner with my fiancee. Then, if we are feeling up to it take in a play and end the night by either hitting a popular dance club or settle down at a cozy blues/jazz club. As you can see, planning one day of entertainment was an internet search nightmare. Not to mention, if I had a meeting cancelled during the week and had an extra hour or two to kill…there was no time to even start to search! With Hypester, I am constantly in tune with the “hype” and best “happenings” of in the area. I go to ONE website, click on the category that I am in the mood for (Events, Restaurants, Bars, Museums, etc..,) then narrow down the selections by my location and the distance I am willing to travel. I can plan out a full day in minutes, or find something fun to do at the spur of a moment! I can also quickly research the event or venue based on other users comments, or by clicking on the links to their website or Facebook page links.
A WIN-WIN For Both Searchers and Posters
Searchers: Searching is FREE and quick. Searchers can go to ONE website to quickly find events and venues wherever they go. They can either use the search box for something they are in the mood for, or browse the different categories and narrow down by the proximity to their location. All postings also include a Google Map to show the exact location of the event or venue.
Posters: The most cost effective way to get the word out to MILLIONS of potential patrons, in the area and looking for something to do! Many businesses and non-profit organizations simply do not have the staff, time, or money to promote their services to this many people. Searchers that visit your posts are pre-qualified, as they are either in the area or coming to the area soon, and looking for something to do. By becoming a free member, you can post your “happenings” at no charge in most categories. Restaurant and Bar owners can list their venues for less than $3.00/month. The listings provide basic information about the events and venues and can be linked to your websites or Facebook pages for more information.
